Silver dollar

The silver dollar (Metynnis hypsauchen) is a freshwater fish, completely or partially silver in color. As the name would suggests the fish resembles a coin. They are round, flat and almost a diamond shape. Silver dollars can also grow to about 6″ in diameter.

They usually have calm and peaceful charachteristics. They are vegetarian and prefer vegetable flakes. However, they will on occassion eat meaty foods.
